The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.

REFLECTION
Honesty about a situation does eventually give you room to move, and the first effect is usually that everything gets worse. Once you admit what the job is, or what the relationship has become, you can no longer operate the comfortable version, and the misery is the gap between knowing and having changed anything. That stretch is real and it is temporary.
If you are in it, do not read the discomfort as evidence you should not have looked. Give yourself a horizon rather than a decision on the same day. Knowing early is still better than knowing late.
Which truth are you avoiding because of what admitting it costs?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
