Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always To be Blest.

CREATIVITY
People are built to lean forward. Contentment keeps getting located just ahead, in the next stage or the next arrival, which is why hope regenerates however often it goes unrewarded, and also why satisfaction stays permanently one step away. The same mechanism does both jobs. It keeps you going and it keeps you from settling.
Since the tilt is not going anywhere, use it deliberately. Aim the forward lean at something worth reaching, then practise noticing what is already here, not in order to stop hoping but to keep the present from being spent entirely on the future.
What are you postponing your contentment until you finally get?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
