Facts are to the mind what food is to the body.

— Edmund Burke

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

A mind runs on what it takes in, and the quality varies as much as food does. Some of what you consume is nourishing, some fills the space without feeding anything, and some quietly makes you worse. The comparison carries a limit worth keeping too, since eating more is not the same as eating well, and raw information with no digestion leaves you heavy rather than strong.

Look at what has gone into your head this week and ask which of it you could still explain to somebody. What you cannot explain was probably never absorbed. Cut one source that leaves you agitated and fed nothing.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

How well are you feeding your mind most days?
