You are allowed to become better than your previous evidence predicted.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Your record is a description of what happened, not a contract about what will. People exceed their previous evidence regularly, usually after something changes in how they work or what they know. Treating your history as a prediction gives it an authority it has not earned, and it can quietly keep you at the level you have already demonstrated.

If you are about to rule something out because you have never done it, notice that. Not having done a thing is a fact about the past only. Give yourself permission to be better than the record suggests before assuming otherwise.
