Life is painting a picture, not doing a sum.

REFLECTION
A sum has one right answer and a way to check it; a painting has judgment, revision and taste. Treating a life as arithmetic makes every choice feel like something you could get provably wrong, and that pressure produces a great deal of paralysis for no gain. Most real decisions have no back of the book, only a next brushstroke and the option to work over it later.
When you are stuck, stop asking which option is correct and ask which one you would rather have made. Then keep it small enough to adjust once you see how it looks.
Where are you totting up your life instead of shaping it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
