Nothing that was worthy in the past departs no truth or goodness realized by man ever dies, or can die.

STILLNESS
What was genuinely good is not cancelled by what came after. A kindness done, a thing understood, a stretch of years lived well: those happened, and no later loss reaches back to unmake them. Grief and disappointment argue otherwise, insisting that because something ended it must have been worthless, but ending and being undone are not the same event.
If you are looking at something finished and feeling that it counted for nothing, try listing what it actually produced in you and in others. Some of that is still in circulation, in habits, in people, in how you treat someone today. That part is not gone, whatever else is.
Whose goodness still shows up in how you live now?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
