Those whose life is long still strive for gain, and for all mortals all things take second place to money.

REFLECTION
Money holds the place it does because for most people and most of history it has answered a real question: whether you eat, whether you can stop. Anyone short this month knows that is not greed. What is being watched here is what happens after that question is answered, when the striving continues out of momentum and starts standing in for everything else, including the reason it began.
Worth knowing, for yourself, what number would count as enough, and what it is meant to buy. Not as a moral exercise. Having no answer is how people spend forty years earning a security they never let themselves feel.
What have you put second to earning for too long?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
