Hope is the dream of a waking man.

CREATIVITY
Picturing a future you do not have yet uses the same faculty as dreaming, only with your eyes open and some ability to steer. That makes hope less a feeling than an act of construction, since you are building an image detailed enough to walk toward. A dream you can influence is a different thing from a wish.
Give your version some specificity this week. What would a good version of next year actually look like on an ordinary Tuesday morning? Vague hope comforts, while a picture you can describe starts quietly rearranging your choices.
Where does your mind wander while you are working?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
