LEADERSHIP
Honesty is partly a form of rest. A lie has to be maintained, cross-checked against who heard which version, and defended when the versions meet, and all of that runs in the background whether or not you think about it. Telling the truth removes the bookkeeping. It can cost you something in the moment and it hands your attention back afterwards.
Notice where you are currently managing a story rather than simply reporting what happened. Correct the smallest one this week, plainly and without a long preamble. See how much lighter the next conversation with that person feels.
Which story are you currently keeping straight for someone else?
