Some people only understand your value after losing access to it.

Some people cannot see what you provide while it is continuous and free. It has become the background, indistinguishable from the way things simply are, and only the absence makes it visible. This is not always malice; it is often just how attention works. It does mean that explaining your value rarely achieves what withdrawal achieves.

If you are undervalued somewhere, notice that more effort tends to make things worse rather than better. Try stepping back from something you have been carrying without announcement. Do this to see the situation clearly, not to punish anyone.
