Thank God every morning when you get up that you have something to do that day, which must be done, whether you like it or not.

RESILIENCE
Having something that must be done, whether or not you feel like it, is quietly one of the steadier things in a life. Preference is a poor engine; it stalls on grey mornings and it argues. An obligation does not argue. It gets you upright, gives the hours a shape, and often the liking arrives later, once you are already in motion.
Notice which part of tomorrow is not optional, and treat it as the spine of the day rather than the tax on it. Start there before you consult your mood. If nothing in your week is required of you, consider promising something small to someone who will notice.
Which obligation do you resent that also keeps you steady?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
