The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.

STILLNESS
Dread of the ending often has less to do with the ending than with everything left unlived. When days are spent waiting for permission, or postponed until conditions improve, the unspent part accumulates and turns into fear. A life being actually used feels less like something that might be taken and more like something already being spent well. That is not fearlessness; it is having fewer things held in reserve.
Look at one thing you have been saving for a better time. Move a small piece of it into this week. The point is not to prepare for anything, only to stop postponing what you are alive for.
