To live is like to love - all reason is against it, and all healthy instinct for it.

RESILIENCE

RESILIENCE
Set out the case for either one on paper and it looks poor: risk, loss, effort with no guarantee at the end. Yet something in you keeps choosing both anyway, and that is not a failure of thinking. Some goods are not reachable by argument, and the part of you that wants them is not confused.
When you catch yourself building a case against something you plainly want, notice whether the case is really about danger or only about discomfort. Let the wanting have a vote. Then take the smaller version of the step rather than waiting to be convinced.
Where does your reasoning argue against what you plainly want?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
