We can be knowledgable with other men’s knowledge but we cannot be wise with other men’s wisdom.

CREATIVITY
Facts travel easily from one person to another. Judgment does not, because judgment is made of what you have tried, misjudged, and had to live with afterwards. You can repeat someone else’s hard-won conclusion perfectly and still not know when it applies, which is the only part that matters in a real situation.
Take one piece of advice you carry around and find where you actually tested it. If you cannot, hold it more loosely, and give yourself room to be wrong with it. Wisdom arrives through your own mistakes, and reading faster does not shorten that.
