You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips.

— Oliver Goldsmith

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

People learn what you actually believe by watching how you handle a bad morning, not by hearing you describe your principles. Words are cheap to produce and easy to discount. Conduct is slower and harder to fake, so it carries the weight. Anyone close to you is already reading you this way, whether or not you meant to be read.

Take one thing you have been telling people matters to you and look for where your week quietly contradicts it. Change the small habit rather than sharpening the argument. If you want patience from someone, be visibly patient with them first.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who is watching how you live rather than what you say?
