Dropped the ball? The next play doesn’t know about it unless you tell it.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Errors do not carry forward on their own. The next play is a fresh set of facts, and the only way the last one gets into it is through your body, through hesitation, through the extra second you spend replaying instead of reading the field. Athletes who look unbothered are not unbothered, they have just practiced letting go quickly.

Build a reset you can do in two seconds, something physical like a deep breath or touching the ground. Use it the same way every time, in practice as well. Save the analysis for afterwards, when it can actually change something.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Do you carry your last mistake into the very next attempt?
