Getting fired hurts. Getting fired and learning nothing is the real waste of a job.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Losing a job takes the income and the routine, and it tends to take a chunk of how you see yourself, which is the part that lingers. None of that is undone by pretending it did not matter. What can be salvaged is the information, because there is usually something in it about the work, the fit, or how you were handling both.

Once the sting settles, write two honest lists, what was on you and what was not. Be fair on both sides. Then take the first list into the next place, quietly.
