You can’t see growth daily for the same reason you can’t watch hair grow. Check back in a month.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Change at a slow rate is invisible at close range. Daily observation has too much noise in it, so you notice your mood and your worst reps and conclude nothing is happening. The measurement interval is the problem, not the progress. Anything gradual needs a longer window before it becomes visible at all.

Take a baseline today, whatever fits, a time, a load lifted, a page count, a recording of you playing. Put it away and do not check for four weeks. Comparing two points a month apart tells you more than thirty days of watching.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where would you be if you compared today to last spring?
