Nobody likes wall sits, sprints, or burpees. That’s exactly why the people who do them win.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

The hardest parts of any training are also the least crowded, and that is the whole mechanism. Everyone does the enjoyable elements, so those provide no separation, while the unpleasant ones sort people by willingness rather than by talent. Nobody grows to like them. The people who benefit are simply the ones who kept doing them anyway.

Identify the part of your work or training you consistently skip, and put it first in the session rather than last. Keep it short enough that you will actually complete it. Willingness only needs to be reliable.
