Hand-me-downs never stopped anyone from making something brand new.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Starting with secondhand things is a fact about money, not about what you can make. The jacket, the phone, the laptop that passed through two cousins first still do the job they do. Originality has never lived in the equipment. It lives in what somebody does with it, and plenty of people with newer gear produce nothing at all.

List what you already have access to this week, borrowed and shared included. Start with that rather than waiting for the version you cannot buy yet. Upgrade later, once the work itself is good enough to need better tools.
