Not fitting somewhere is frequently a fact about the place rather than a defect in you. The same qualities that feel wrong in one group are exactly what another one is short of, and nothing about you had to change in between. School makes this hard to see, because the group is fixed and there is no obvious elsewhere. Elsewhere exists; it just has not arrived yet.

Go looking slightly outside your usual room this year. A club, a team, a job, somewhere online with people who care about what you care about. Fit gets found by sampling rather than by adjusting yourself further.
