The broken attempt may contain the blueprint for the working one.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A version that did not work usually contains most of the parts that will. The failure is rarely total; it is one wrong assumption or one missing piece inside a structure that was largely sound. Discarding everything because the whole thing failed throws away work you already paid for.
Go back through the attempt and separate what failed from what held. Keep the parts that held. Most successful second attempts are mostly made of the first one.
Which abandoned effort of yours still holds a piece worth reusing?
