People pay for problems getting solved, not for effort and not for how badly you wanted it. Usefulness comes first and payment is the receipt. Starting from what somebody actually needs is less romantic than starting from what you deserve, and it tends to work better.

Find one person or group you could genuinely help this week and help them without charging. Watch what they struggle with while you are in there. That struggle is often the beginning of something you get paid for later.
