You can earn money back. You can’t earn back a year you spent waiting.

Money is renewable in a way time is not. A bad financial year can be recovered from, but a year spent waiting for conditions to be right is simply gone, and waiting almost never feels like a decision while you are inside it. It feels like being sensible.

Look at something you have been putting off until you are ready. Ask what the smallest version of it would cost you this month, measured in hours rather than in planning. Then start that version instead of the full one.
