Somebody saw potential in you before you did. Pay that forward to someone who can’t see theirs yet.

Being seen accurately by somebody else often comes before you can see it yourself, and it changes what you are willing to attempt. That kind of attention is rare and it is not expensive to give. Most people are waiting for one person to say out loud that they could do the thing.

Think of somebody near you who is better than they realise. Tell them specifically what you have noticed, rather than just that they are good. Be the sentence they remember in five years.
