The scoreboard only tells you who won today. It doesn’t say who’s going to be great.

A score is a snapshot of one afternoon, taken under conditions that will never repeat. It cannot see who is still improving, who was sick, who is three months into learning something new. Greatness is a slope, and a single number has no slope in it. Plenty of people who got beaten badly on a Saturday were simply earlier in the same climb.
Track something the scoreboard does not: a rep count, a time, a thing you could not do in August. Check it monthly instead of daily. Slopes only show up when you zoom out.
What are you judging yourself on that only measures today?
