Never tell an opponent which mistake finally taught you how they play.

LEADERSHIP
When you finally understand how someone operates, that understanding is your advantage, and it lasts exactly as long as they do not know you have it. Telling them, usually for the satisfaction of showing that you worked it out, hands them the chance to change. This applies to opponents rather than to friends, where openness is the whole point. Knowing which one you are dealing with matters.
When you have figured out a pattern, write it down for yourself and say nothing. Adjust your behaviour rather than the conversation. Understanding is worth much more used than announced.
What have you learned about someone that you should keep to yourself?
