One bad choice doesn’t make you a bad person. Ten in a row starts to make a pattern.

RESILIENCE
A single bad decision is an event, and events happen to everyone, including people you would describe as good. What matters is whether it stays an event. Patterns form when nothing interrupts them, and they form quietly, with no moment where you decide to become that person. The identity follows the repetition rather than causing it.
Count rather than judge. If it has happened once, fix the situation and let it go. If it has happened several times, change something structural rather than promising harder, because promises have already been tried.
