Choosing to stay teachable will eventually outrun talent that thinks it’s done learning.

Talent gets you a head start and nothing else. It stops compounding the moment somebody decides they already know how this works, and a slower person who keeps adjusting closes that gap surprisingly fast. The advantage is not effort exactly, it is remaining correctable, which is uncomfortable for anyone used to being good at something.

Ask somebody whose judgment you trust what you are getting wrong, and do not defend your answer when they tell you. Just write it down. The information is worth more than ten seconds of feeling bad.
