Being anonymous doesn’t change what kind of person you are. It just shows it.

Anonymity removes the consequences, not the character. What comes out when nobody can attach your name to it is the version running underneath all the times you were being careful, and that is information whether you wanted it or not. It is uncomfortable, and it is also the most honest mirror anybody gets.

Read back something you posted without your name on it. Not to feel bad, just to look. If it is not something you would say with your name attached, that difference is the part worth paying attention to.
