Ask your grandparents to tell the story again. One day the only copy will be the one you remember.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Stories that live only in someone’s memory leave when they do. The second and third telling is where the details come out, the ones nobody thought to include the first time, and those are usually the parts that make it a real story rather than a summary. Asking again is not making them repeat themselves. It is how the thing gets kept.

Record one this week with their permission, or just sit and listen properly. Ask what the room smelled like, who else was there, how old they were. That file will outvalue everything else on your phone.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which family story will vanish if you never ask again?
