Someday you’ll tell this story at a dinner table. Make sure it’s one where you went for it.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
You are currently generating the material you will be telling for the rest of your life. Nobody tells the story of the summer they stayed inside deciding. The ones that get told are the ones where somebody went, tried, failed interestingly, or found out, and even the disasters make better stories than the careful versions do.
When a choice is close, ask which one you would rather be describing in ten years. It is not a licence to be reckless. It is a decent tiebreaker when the safe option is winning only because it is quieter.
Which version of this year would you want to retell later?
