Thanking someone in front of everyone takes guts because it shows you actually care.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Public thanks costs something, which is why it registers. You are admitting you needed help, saying out loud that somebody else’s work mattered to yours, and letting a room watch you care about it. Those are three small exposures, and most people avoid all of them by mumbling something privately later on.
Do it once this week where other people can hear. Name the person and the specific thing they did. It takes fifteen seconds, it makes their month, and it quietly tells everybody else what kind of room this is.
Who deserves your thanks out loud, in front of everybody?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
