A move saved can become more valuable than a move spent.

An unused move retains all its possible applications, while a spent one has become a specific thing that either worked or did not. Holding a card is worth something in itself, particularly when the situation is still developing. People tend to spend their moves early because holding them is uncomfortable.

Before playing something significant, ask whether now is when it is most valuable. If not, hold it and say nothing. Restraint is a position, not an absence of one.
