Being kind when it’s uncool is cool in the long run. Everyone remembers who was decent.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Kindness gets treated as unimpressive at certain ages, which turns it into a real risk rather than an easy default. Saying hello to the person nobody talks to, or not laughing at the joke, costs a little standing now and buys something that outlasts everyone involved. People forget most things and remember who was decent to them.

Pick one person this week who tends to get overlooked and treat them normally. Not as a project, just as somebody you talk to. Do it while other people are around, because that is where it counts.
