At a job, creativity looks like noticing a better way to do something and actually saying it out loud.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Creativity at work rarely looks like art. It looks like realizing the closing checklist has two steps that cancel each other out, or that the new person keeps getting stuck in the same place. Plenty of people notice and say nothing, because saying it feels like claiming to be smarter than the setup. The noticing is common and the sentence out loud is the rare part.

Next shift, say one of the things you have noticed to the person who could actually change it. Keep it short and about the task, not about who designed it. Even if nothing changes, you learn fast what kind of place you work in.
