Every original idea has a moment where it sounds ridiculous out loud. Say it anyway.

New ideas have no company yet, no examples to point at, nobody nodding along. That is what makes them sound silly in a room, and it is also exactly what makes them new. The embarrassment you feel while saying it is not a signal about the quality of the idea. It is a signal that nobody has normalized it for you in advance.
Say the thing before you have polished it into something defensible. Give it one sentence and let the silence happen. You can learn a lot from how people ask their follow-up questions, and you cannot learn that inside your own head.
What idea have you never said aloud for fear of laughter?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
