Being visible means accepting that interpretation leaves your control.

Once your work is out, what it means becomes partly other people’s business. They will read intentions you did not have, miss things you thought were obvious, and use it for their own purposes. That loss of control is the price of the work existing outside your head.

Decide in advance which misreadings you will correct and which you will let stand. Most are not worth answering. Making that decision beforehand saves you from being pulled around by every response.
