Make one small thing today so tomorrow doesn’t start from zero. Momentum is a creative tool.

Starting from nothing is much harder than continuing, because a cold start needs a decision and continuing only needs a next step. Something small made today changes tomorrow’s beginning: there is a file open, a first line down, an object to react to. The size matters less than people think. What matters is that tomorrow you are not facing an empty table.
Do one small thing before the day ends, ten minutes if that is all there is. Leave it visible so you see it first thing. Repeat that for a week and notice how much less negotiating with yourself happens before you start.
What tiny piece could you finish today to keep momentum?
