Your reputation is built in rooms you’re not in, from work you did when no one was grading.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Most of what gets decided about you happens in rooms you are not standing in. Someone is asked whether you are worth including, and they answer from what they have seen, which is mostly the ordinary work you did when nobody was assessing it. You cannot manage that conversation from outside. You can only supply what there is to say.
Treat the unwatched parts as the real test, since those are the ones that get reported. Do the tidy job on the boring task. Assume the last thing you finished is what someone is describing right now.
What are people saying about you when you leave?
