You cannot network invisibly.

Connection requires presence. If nobody encounters you, there is nothing for a relationship to form around, and the effort of building a network fails at the first step. Being findable and being occasionally in the room are prerequisites rather than extras.

If you want more professional connection, start by being somewhere consistently: a group, a platform, an event, a comment section. Contribute rather than promote. Familiarity accumulates slowly and then all at once.
