A finished thing you can improve is worth more than a perfect thing that only exists in your head.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

An imagined version is always better than a real one, because it never had to survive contact with materials, time or your current skill. That comparison cannot be won, and it stops plenty of people from producing anything at all. Something finished, however rough, can be shown, tested, corrected and built on. The perfect one cannot be improved, since it does not exist.

Set a deadline you refuse to move and hand over whatever exists by then. Ask which single change would improve it most, make that change, and stop. Version two is usually where the good part shows up.
