Your parents’ faith was a great introduction. Now God wants to meet you personally.

Inherited faith gets you in the door, and it was a real gift, but it belongs to somebody else until you deal with it yourself. At some point the questions have to be yours and so do the answers. God is after a first hand relationship, not a family reference.
Start something small that nobody assigned you, a few minutes of your own reading or your own prayer. Ask the questions you have been too polite to raise at home. Faith that survives leaving the house has to have been yours before you left.
Where does your faith differ from the one you inherited?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
