Worship is not a genre or a playlist, and it is not measured by whether the music moves you. It is about orientation, which way you are actually turned when the song ends and you are walking to the car. A good band can make you feel something without changing that direction at all.

Notice where you point yourself in the ordinary moments this week, in the queue, on the bus, in an argument. Turning back takes a second and does not require a soundtrack. You can worship in silence and in a bad mood, and it still counts.
