Thank God for a working body before you complain about how it looks.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
There are two different conversations about a body, and only one of them gets your attention most days. How it looks is loud, constant and mostly shaped by what you have been shown. What it does is quiet, and it is doing it right now while you read. Some bodies do not cooperate, and that is a real grief rather than a failure of gratitude.
Once this week, thank God for something yours managed, whatever that is today. Walking somewhere, breathing easily, sleeping, healing from something small. None of that ends the harder conversation about how you feel looking at a photo, and you are allowed to have both.
What can your body do that you never thank God for?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
