You can’t hate people and love God in the same breath. One of them is lying.

Love for God shows up in traffic, not in the statement. You can hold a real belief and a real contempt for a person at the same time, and when those two collide, the contempt is usually the honest one. That is the uncomfortable part. How you treat someone you dislike is the actual measurement of what you believe.

Think of the person you speak about worst. You are not required to like them or be close to them. Try one week of not adding to the pile, no comment, no repost, no story at their expense, and notice how much work that takes.
