Rest doesn’t have to be earned. God built it into the week before anyone had a job.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Rest keeps getting treated like a reward for productivity, so you only allow it once the list is finished, which is never. God built it into the shape of the week before anybody had a job to be tired from. That means it is not payment for anything. It is part of how you were made, and skipping it does not make you more serious, it makes you worse at everything by Thursday.

Put one real stop in your week and then defend it. Not scrolling in bed, an actual stop where nothing is produced. Notice how much guilt shows up, and let it sit there without obeying it.
