A name tag at work tells people your job. God’s name on you tells them your family.

GRATITUDE
A name tag tells people what you do for the next six hours. It is temporary and interchangeable, and anyone can read it from across a room. Carrying God’s name works differently, because it does not end when your shift does or when the job changes. One announces your function, the other says whose family you are in.
Notice how much of your identity is currently built out of what you do. Ask who you would still be without the role, the team, the title, the grades. Practise answering that without listing a single accomplishment.
Beyond your job, what do people learn from knowing you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
