Prayer turns into a press release surprisingly fast. You summarise, leave out the part you are ashamed of, phrase the rest so it sounds like you are handling things, and end up filing a report nobody needed. The editing protects God from nothing. It keeps you at a distance from the one conversation where you never have to manage your image.

Tell it this week the way you would tell your closest friend at midnight. Include the petty part, the jealous part, the thing you would not say out loud. Notice that nothing collapses when you stop presenting.
