Dread is a time thief with an excellent disguise. Worrying about something on Sunday night does not prepare you for it, does not shorten it and does not change how it goes. It simply takes hours that were yours and hands them to an event that is not happening yet. You end up serving the sentence twice.
When the thought arrives, deal with the part that is actionable now, which is usually about two minutes of work. Write the list, pack the bag, then shut it, and say out loud that this is not today. It will come back, and each time you can put it down again without arguing.
Which weekday worry follows you into the weekend?
